An overhead press that builds shoulder and triceps strength, driving dumbbells from the shoulders to full lockout.

How to do a Dumbbell Shoulder Press

  1. Stand or sit tall holding a dumbbell at each shoulder, palms facing forward.
  2. Brace your core and keep your ribs down.
  3. Press both dumbbells overhead until your arms are straight.
  4. Lower them slowly back to shoulder height.
  5. Avoid arching your lower back as you press.
