An isolation move that lifts the arms out to the sides, targeting the side delts to build shoulder width.

How to do a Dumbbell Lateral Raise

  1. Stand with a dumbbell in each hand at your sides, a slight bend in your elbows.
  2. Lean forward a touch and brace your core.
  3. Raise your arms out to the sides, leading with your elbows, up to shoulder height.
  4. Pause briefly, then lower slowly back to your sides.
  5. Keep it controlled and avoid shrugging or swinging the weights up.
