A forward horizontal jump that develops explosive hip and leg power and teaches soft, controlled landings.

How to do a Broad Jump

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart and arms at your sides.
  2. Hinge your hips back and swing your arms behind you to load up.
  3. Explode forward and up, swinging the arms to jump as far as you can.
  4. Land softly on both feet in a squat, absorbing the impact with bent knees.
  5. Reset and repeat, or step back to your start position between reps.
