Forearm Plank

Core Beginner

An isometric hold on the forearms and toes that trains the whole core to resist spinal extension and sag.

How to do a Forearm Plank

  1. Set your forearms on the floor with elbows stacked directly under your shoulders.
  2. Extend both legs behind you and rise onto your toes.
  3. Brace your abs and squeeze your glutes so hips, shoulders, and heels form one line.
  4. Keep your neck long and gaze at the floor, breathing steadily throughout.
  5. Hold for the interval without letting your hips drop or pike upward.
